                                                      ഏതായാലും  അവരോടൊപ്പം ഞങ്ങള്‍ 8 പേരും കൂട്ടുകൂടാന്‍ തുടങ്ങി.തുടങ്ങിയത് ഞാന്‍ ആയിരുന്നു.എന്താണ് പറയണ്ടത് എന്ന് എനിക്ക് മനസ്സില്‍ കിട്ടിയില്ല.എങ്കിലും തുടങ്ങി.ഒരേ പ്രായമുള്ള കുട്ടികള്‍ ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കില്‍ ഒരേ frequency ഇല്‍ സംസാരിക്കാമായിരുന്നു.ഇവിടെ ഒന്നാം ക്ലാസ്സുകാരനായ വിഷ്ണുവും ഉണ്ട് പത്താം ക്ലാസ്സു കാരനായ ബോണി ഉം ഉണ്ട്. ഒരു ബുദ്ധിമുട്ട് തോന്നി.ആദ്യം എല്ലാവരോടും പേര് ചോദിച്ചു.പഠിക്കുന്ന ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ ഉം ചോദിച്ചു.ഒന്നാം ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ കാരന്‍ ഒന്ന് കരഞ്ഞു.മറുപടികള്‍ മുഴുവന്‍ കേട്ടപോള്‍ ഒരു കാര്യം മനസിലായി. എന്ത് കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ പറഞ്ഞാലും കേള്‍ക്കാന്‍ തയ്യാറായി നില്‍കുന്ന പാവത്താന്മാരും, ‘അവിടെ എന്തോ നടക്കുന്നു  എനിക്ക് ബാധകമല്ല ‘ എന്നാ പോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നവന്മാരും ഉണ്ട് , അതുപോലെ പറയുന്നത് ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു കേട്ടിട്ട് , ഉരുളക്കു ഉപ്പേരി പോലെ മറുപടി പറയാന്‍ റെഡി ആയി ഇരിക്കുന്ന വിദ്വാന്‍ മാരും ഉണ്ട് .തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടി എങ്കിലും ജിത്തു അതിനെ നന്നായി കണക്ട് ചെയ്തു.വിനിത് ഉം സഞ്ജു ഉം ജിത്തു ഉം കൂടി ഗെയിം കള്‍ നടത്തി.ഒരു കളിയില്‍ വിനിത് ഉം ഒന്നാം ക്ലാസ്സു കാരുടെ കൂടെ കളിക്കാനിറങ്ങി.B – Tech ആണെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് കാര്യമുണ്ടായില്ല തോറ്റു പുറത്തായി. .

ഊന്നിനു എല്ലാവരും അവരവരുടെ സീറ്റ്‌ ഉകളില്‍ ഇരുന്നു. ആ സമയത്ത് ഞങ്ങള്‍ 56 പേരും ചേര്‍ന്ന് വാങ്ങിയ  notebook  ഉകളും പേനകളും പ്ലയിന്‍  ഷീറ്റ്‌ പേപ്പര്‍ കളും ഡ്രസ്സ്‌ കളും സ്വീറ്സ്  ഉം എല്ലാം orphanage മാനേജര്‍ ആയ Fr .ചെറിയാന്‍ ന്‍റെ റൂമില്‍ കൊണ്ടുപോയി വച്ചു.പിന്നെ ഊണ് കഴിക്കാന്‍ തയ്യാറായി. വിനിത് ഒഴിച്ച് ബാക്കി എല്ലാവരും Fr ചെറിയാന്‍ ന് ഒപ്പമാണ് ഇരുന്നെത്.വിനിത്  കുട്ടികള്ക് ഒപ്പമാണ് ഇരുന്നെത്.ഊണിനു മുമ്പ് , തങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില്‍ വിളമ്പിയ ഭക്ഷണം എവിടെ നിന്ന് എന്ന് പോലും അറിയാതെ അതിനു മുമ്പില്‍ നിന്ന് കൊണ്ട് ഒരു ചെറിയ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥന…ശേഷം വീണ്ടും എല്ലാവരും ആ പഴയ ചിലപ്പില്ലേക്ക് …..ഊണിനു ശേഷം ഞങ്ങള്‍ പോകാന്‍ തയ്യാറായി.അവരുടെ കളി സ്ഥലങ്ങളും കിടപ്പ് മുറികളും ഞങ്ങള്‍ നടന്നു കണ്ടു.എല്ലാവരോടും യാത്ര പറഞ്ഞു.അപ്പോള്‍ ഒരു ചെറിയ കൂട്ടുകാരന്‍ ഞങ്ങളോട് ചോദിച്ചു .”ചേട്ടാ നിങ്ങള്‍ ഇനിയും വരുമോ”?? ഉറപ്പില്ലെങ്കിലും , അത് മറച്ചു വച്ചു കൊണ്ട് പറഞ്ഞു “പിന്നെ തീര്‍ച്ചയായും വരും “.അപ്പോള്‍  അവന്‍ വീണ്ടും “എങ്കില്‍ അടുത്ത  തവണ വരുമ്പോള്‍ ഒരു ഫുട്ബോള്‍ കൊണ്ട് വരുമോ ” ? !!.ഇല്ലന്നുള്ളത് ഉറപ്പാണ്‌.കാരണം അവന്‍റെ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വില കൊടുക്കാന്‍ നമ്മള്‍ അവന്‍റെ അമ്മ അല്ല , അച്ഛനും അല്ല.വെറുതെ പറ്റിക്കാനായി പറഞ്ഞു ,”ആ ശരി കൊണ്ട് വരാം ..” പക്ഷെ പറഞ്ഞു കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോള്‍ അങ്ങനെ കൊടുക്കാന്‍ ശരിക്കും സാധിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ എന്ന് ഒരു നിമിഷം ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു പോയി ….

1.എന്തു മാനദണ്ഡം ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് പൊതുമേഖലാ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ കാമ്പസ് റിക്രൂട്ട്‌മെന്റിനായി കോളേജുകള്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നത്?
2.പൊതുജനങ്ങളുടെ പണംകൊണ്ട് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ ഉദ്യോഗാര്‍ഥികളെ തിരയാന്‍ തുടങ്ങുമ്പോള്‍ത്തന്നെ അവര്‍ നിഷ്‌കര്‍ഷിക്കുന്ന അതേ മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങള്‍ ഉള്ള എല്ലാ യുവാക്കള്‍ക്കും അപേക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ അര്‍ഹത നല്‍കേണ്ടതല്ലേ?
ഇങ്ങനെ കാമ്പസ് ഇന്റര്‍വ്യൂ വഴി പൊതുമേഖലാ എണ്ണക്കമ്പനികളിലേക്കും ബാങ്കുകളിലേക്കും വരുന്ന ഉദ്യോഗാര്‍ഥികള്‍ അവിടെ തുടരുന്നില്ല എന്നതാണ് സത്യം. കരിയറിലെ ആദ്യ ചവിട്ടുപടി മാത്രമാണ് അവര്‍ക്കത്. ഒന്നാം തരം സര്‍ക്കാര്‍/പൊതുമേഖലാ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലെ രണ്ടോ മൂന്നോ വര്‍ഷത്തെ പ്രവൃത്തി പരിചയം കിട്ടിക്കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ വലിയ ശമ്പളത്തിന് പ്രതിയോഗികളായ സ്വകാര്യ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ചേക്കേറും. സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ സ്ഥാപനത്തില്‍ കിട്ടുന്ന പരിശീലനം സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന് ദോഷമാകുന്ന വിധത്തിലാണ് പിന്നീട് ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തുകയെന്ന് സാരം.
ശമ്പളത്തിന്റെ കനം മാത്രം കണ്ട് കരിയര്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാന്‍ കുട്ടികള്‍ ആകര്‍ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത് ഐ.എ.എസ്. പോലുള്ള മേഖലകള്‍ക്കുപോലും അപകര്‍ഷതാ മനോഭാവം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതറിയാന്‍ സമീപകാലത്ത് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ കോളേജുകളില്‍ നിന്ന് സിവില്‍ സര്‍വീസിലേക്ക് എത്തുന്നവരുടെ എണ്ണം നോക്കിയാല്‍ മതിയാകും. നേരത്തേ കേരള കേഡര്‍ ഐ.എ. (പി) എസ്.കാരില്‍ എന്‍ജിനീയര്‍മാരുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ അത് മിക്കവാറും തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ കോളേജ് ഓഫ് എന്‍ജിനീയറിങ്ങില്‍നിന്ന് തന്നെയാകും. എന്നാല്‍ ഇന്നോ? സിവില്‍ സര്‍വീസിലേക്കെത്തുന്ന ഇവിടെ നിന്നുള്ളവരുടെ എണ്ണം കുത്തനെ കുറഞ്ഞു.
കാമ്പസ് ഇന്റര്‍വ്യൂവില്‍ നിയമനം ലഭിക്കുന്നത് ഏഴാം സെമസ്റ്ററിലാണ്. അതോടെ അവര്‍ എട്ടാം സെമസ്റ്ററില്‍ പഠനം ഗൗരവമായേ എടുക്കാറില്ല. എങ്ങനെയോ ക്ലാസ് വര്‍ക്ക് പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കി കമ്പനിയിലേക്ക് ചേക്കേറാന്‍ സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടാണിരിക്കുക. ഇത് ബിരുദത്തിന്റെ ഗുണനിലവാരത്തെത്തന്നെ ഹനിക്കുന്നു. മത്സരം മൂത്തുമൂത്ത് മൂന്നാം വര്‍ഷം തന്നെ (അഞ്ചാം സെമസ്റ്ററില്‍) കാമ്പസ് ഇന്റര്‍വ്യൂ നടത്തുന്നുണ്ട് പലേടത്തും. ഇത് വിലക്കണമെന്ന് അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന, കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ ശാസ്ത്ര ഗ്രന്ഥകാരനും അണ്ണാ സര്‍വകലാശാല, വൈസ് ചാന്‍സലറുമായിരുന്ന ബാലഗുരുസ്വാമി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടതിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലമിതാണ്.
സ്വകാര്യ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ കഴുകന്‍ കണ്ണുമായി സര്‍ക്കാര്‍/ പൊതു മേഖലാ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലെ ആദ്യവര്‍ഷ പരിചയം സിദ്ധിച്ചവരെ വലിയ പാക്കേജ് തന്നെ നല്‍കിയാണ് വലവീശിപ്പിടിക്കുന്നത്. പൊതുമേഖലാ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ കാമ്പസ് ഇന്റര്‍വ്യൂവിന് പോകാനുള്ള കാരണമായി പറയുന്ന ഘടകങ്ങള്‍ ഒന്നും അവര്‍ക്ക് ഗുണകരമായി മാറുന്നില്ല. എന്നിട്ടും ഇവര്‍ എന്തിനാണ് തുടര്‍ന്നും കാമ്പസ് ഇന്റര്‍വ്യൂവിന് പോകുന്നത് എന്നുമനസ്സിലാകുന്നില്ല. പ്രതിഭാശാലികള്‍ നഗരങ്ങളിലാണ് ഉള്ളതെന്ന മൂഢവിശ്വാസമാണ് ഇവരെ നയിക്കുന്നത്. രാജ്യത്തെ മൊത്തം ആറ് ലക്ഷം ഗ്രാമങ്ങളില്‍ പകുതിയില്‍ പോലും വൈദ്യുതി എത്തിയിട്ടില്ല. ഇവിടങ്ങളില്‍ മണ്ണെണ്ണ വിളക്കിന്റെ വെളിച്ചത്തില്‍ പഠിക്കുന്ന മിടുക്കനും മിടുക്കിക്കും കൂടി അര്‍ഹതപ്പെട്ടതാണ് പൊതു മേഖലാ/സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലെ ജോലി എന്നു മറന്നുകൂടാ.
കാമ്പസ് റിക്രൂട്ട്‌മെന്റ് എന്ന് മലയാളി കേട്ടുതുടങ്ങാത്ത കാല്‍നൂറ്റാണ്ട് മുന്നെ കെല്‍ട്രോണ്‍ പിന്തുടര്‍ന്ന ഒരു വഴിയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. കേരളത്തിലെ എല്ലാ കോളേജുകളില്‍ നിന്നും ഒരു നിശ്ചിത ശതമാനത്തില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ മാര്‍ക്ക് കിട്ടി പാസായവരുടെ ലിസ്റ്റ് വാങ്ങും. അവരില്‍ നിന്ന് ടെസ്റ്റും ഇന്റര്‍വ്യൂവും നടത്തി ആളുകളെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കും. എന്തുകൊണ്ടും നല്ലത് അതുതന്നെയാണ് .
നാളെ നല്ല ജഡ്ജിമാരെ കിട്ടാന്‍ കോടതികള്‍ നുവാല്‍സിലേക്ക് (നാഷണല്‍ യൂനി. ഓഫ് അഡ്വാന്‍സ്ഡ് ലീഗല്‍ സ്റ്റഡീസ്) കാമ്പസ് ഇന്റര്‍വ്യൂ നടത്താന്‍ പോയാല്‍ നമ്മുടെ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ലോ കോളേജില്‍ പഠിക്കുന്ന സമര്‍ഥര്‍ക്ക് ജുഡീഷ്യല്‍ സര്‍വീസ് തന്നെ അന്യമാകില്ലേ. (ഐ.ഐ.ടി. ഐ.ഐ.എം. നിലവാരമുള്ളതും വന്‍നഗരങ്ങളില്‍ മാത്രം സാന്നിധ്യമുള്ളതുമായ മേല്‍ത്തരം ലോ കോളേജാണ് നുവാല്‍സുകള്‍. സമാന്യപൊതുബോധം ഉള്ള രക്ഷകര്‍ത്താക്കള്‍ക്കുപോലും ഇത്തരം പുത്തന്‍ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളില്‍ മക്കളെ പഠിക്കാന്‍ അയയ്ക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുന്നില്ല.
തുല്യയോഗ്യതയുള്ള എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും തുല്യനിലവാരമുള്ള സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളില്‍ പഠിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയാത്ത സാമൂഹിക-സാമ്പത്തിക സാഹചര്യമാണ് രാജ്യത്തുള്ളത് എന്ന് നയരൂപവ്തകരണം നടത്തുന്നവരെങ്കിലും മനസ്സിലാക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. കേരളത്തിലെ ഒന്നാംനിര കാമ്പസുകളായ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍/എയ്ഡഡ് എന്‍ജിനീയറിങ് കലാലയങ്ങളിലേക്ക് എത്തുന്നവരില്‍ മുഖ്യപങ്കും കേരളത്തിലെ ഏതാനും ചില ഫാക്ടറിയില്‍ നിന്ന് വിരിയുന്ന എന്‍ട്രന്‍സ് കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്‍ ആണെന്നത് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ അങ്ങാടിയിലെ പാട്ടാണ്. ഇതില്‍ ഒരിടത്തെ ഫീസ് ലക്ഷമാണ്. എത്രപേര്‍ക്ക് ഇത് താങ്ങാനാവും? പണമില്ലാത്ത രക്ഷിതാക്കളുടെ മക്കള്‍ക്ക് പ്രൊഫഷണല്‍ കോളേജുകള്‍ അന്യമാണന്ന വസ്തുതയ്ക്ക് മേല്‍ തീകോരിയിടുന്നതാണ് പുതിയ കാമ്പസ് റിക്രൂട്ട്‌മെന്റ് പ്രവണത. പൊതുമേഖലാസ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെയെങ്കിലും റിക്രൂട്ട്‌മെന്റ് നയം സാമൂഹികനീതിയിലധിഷ്ഠിതവും സുതാര്യവുമാകുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്‍ കോരന് കഞ്ഞി എന്നും കുമ്പിളില്‍ തന്നെയാകും.

CIR is organizing a placement drive on behalf of the various project groups in our Campus such as E-learning, Bala Vidya, Amrita Technologies, etc. on May 12 th .

Students from various engineering colleges in Kerala are expected to participate in this drive along with our students. You are welcome to refer this opportunity to fresh / experienced engineering graduates (in CS, IT, EC, EE, ME) if they would like to participate in the placement drive.

Candidates are expected to report in our campus at 10.00 am (at CIR Office) to attend the written test and personal interviews.

Who should attend?: Hardware geeks, coders and designers who are Undergraduate students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year from any engineering stream

Date: 13th June 2011 to 25th June 2011

The offered Tracks :

1. Life and Machines – In this track students explore making appropriate extensions for human ability. They would be required to work on micro controllers, sensors and embedded systems and come up with a hardware solution to help solve the identified problem and make a presentation, explaining their observations and learning experience during the period.

2. 3D Designing, Animation and Graphics – Animate your imaginations and see them getting real; After twelve days of lecture series, demonstration sessions, and working on a specific design problem, students would be expected to make an animated movie using any platform being taught and make a presentation, explaining future possibilities in the field and learning experience during the period.

3. Mobile Research – What design parameters should be kept in mind to make it a marketable product, to discuss available platforms for such development like Android and finally bring out their creativity to design a particular application on which they would be mentored and taught how to program for it. A series of brainstorming sessions will be conducted for motivating the students to think about prevailing technical problems and come out with a solution. At the end, students are expected to present an application, explaining future possibilities and ideas to take their work forward to make it a successful product.
